Sad Day

I don’t believe in “the rainbow bridge” – that animals have souls. Rather, pets are mirrors to the souls around them. Kelsey showed souls around her in their best possible light: the joy, the serenity and the quiet kindness. These she reflected to friend and stranger alike and her loss makes the world colder and grayer.

The lady of the house basking in the glow of her triumphant dinner and the warmth of her faithful dogs (and guest dog). Hey, wait a minute! Where am I suppose to sleep?!?

Monday can be such a pressure filled day particularly on a holiday week. My dog, Henry, reminds me that every day has the potential, however remote, of being a good one.

Testing the Mac FaceTime client beta with my brother-in-law Jim failed. He could see and hear me (which was embarassing - I was singing along with The Big Broadcast. Suspicious, I set up a connection between me on the Mac and my dog Henry on my iPhone. Worked like a charm so the problem must be on my brother-in-law's side....

Fortunately, it had already been done, handed in, graded and handed back (with an “A”). But one needs to be careful when one has poochies about.

Now I’m in the depths of exam week in what I call “The Final Dash”. Three exams plus a major paper are due. No wonder those college kids drink so much beer!

It’s enough to melt the hardest of hearts!
